SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOLS
Specialist Leaders of Education
Lindens Teaching School Alliance
Specialist leaders of education (SLEs) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it within their own context.
The Lindens Teaching School Alliance now has SLEs – each with a specific area of expertise and the leadership skills to support other schools, leaders and teachers to achieve improvement
SLEs are key to our shared vision for a high quality, expert driven, professional learning community across all of our schools within Lindens Teaching School. They are proving that ‘system leadership’ and school to school support is not restricted to head teachers. Indeed, it is a calling for all expert educationalists who have the leadership skills and experience to support and inform their colleagues’ development and, through that, the lives and life chances of so many children.
