Great places to practise maths facts...

Purple Mash Addition and Subtraction Games (Ages 5-7)
Numbots
All children have been allocated a Numbots account. It is ESSENTIAL that children can master and recall basic fluency facts with ease, as this helps with all additional work in maths. Not knowing these facts becomes a barrier to working with addition and subtraction methods such as column method; working with money & coins; working with problems involving length, mass and capacity; and so forth.
Solvemoji

Solvemoji is such a fun site for children to apply their number fact knowledge and to practise the inverse of calculations (also called missing box problems).
Start with Junior Difficulty 1 or 2 for now. 3 and 4 will also become possible as children progress through the curriculum in Year 2.
Daily 10
Daily 10 allows children to practise a range of different fast facts at different ability levels. For most areas, level 1 and 2 are most appropriate right now, but you will quickly get a feel for what suits your child best.
You can also explore the TopMarks website more widely for other games.
ICT Games (Maths)

There are dozens of games to choose from (and manipulatives / representations, too) to help with all areas of maths.
Mathsbot Manipulatives

Great for having visual representations of equipment we use in school. E.g. place value counters, bar models, Cuisenaire rods, number frames, arrow cards, dienes (tens and ones sticks/cubes). There are also plenty of things we haven't used, so trust your child if they say they don't know what something is and let yourself be guided by things they mention or which we mention on ParentHub.
TTRS (Times Table Rock Stars)
All children have been allocated a TTRS account using the same details as Numbots.
Upon first logging in, children will be invited to complete a "Gig". This will test a whole range of tables in order to automatically set the most appropriate level going forwards.
Afterwards, this is what you will see:
Garage - having completed a Gig, the Garage will set the tables you need to work on. This is the most personalised section for your learning. You can see below which tables have been selected for work.
Jamming - this is where you can pick a particular times table you'd like to work on. You can choose multiplication, division, or both.
Studio - this does all times tables up to 12x12. It might take a while to be ready for this level, but once you are, it can unlock other features.
Soundcheck - this is unlocked after successfully scoring 10 correct answers in the Studio. Again, it will be mixed questions up to 12x12.
With permission from a grown up, you can play Festivals. These are games against users world-wide.
The Arena is where you can play against someone in real time (live) from within your class or year group. This would be mostly used in school if we all had an iPad session, but you and your grown ups might like to co-ordinate with another family/families to log on together and play live.
Finally, you can also challenge anyone listed (as long as you know their rock name) to a Rockslam, which is a 1:1 battle for points!
It's also worth keeping an eye on the Tournament button at the top. We'll notify you of any tournaments - we'll let you have a few weeks of practice first - and then each class can battle it out for the top score!
Minute to Win It
For Miss Westmancoat's children who wish for additional practice.
(Mrs Keight's and Mrs Howse's group are welcome to try, too).
