The School Ambassadors and Year Group Reps are an integral part of Lindens Primary School.
At the beginning of the academic year, children are invited to put themselves forward as candidates to become Year Group Reps (years 1-5) and School Ambassadors ( year 6). All candidates present a 'manifesto' to their class, and a demographic election then takes.
The Year Group Reps and School Ambassadors aim to represent the 'pupil voice' throughout the school year, reporting to staff any concerns or ideas that students have. School Ambassadors and Year Group Reps are responsible for deciding which charities will be supported during the year. Through democratic debate, decisions are made and at this point, the team of School Ambassadors and Year Group Reps are tasked with planning, promoting and carrying out chosen activities and events. Events organised in the past: Days of Giving (each year group donated to a specific charity which was chosen by the children), Children in Need, Comic Relief, World Book Day Book Swap, cake sales, sponsored events.
