Disability Equality Nurture

 

The DEN is an area in our school which supports children with any additional needs.

 

Responsibilities and duties include :

 

• Links to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCO)

• Co-ordinating the provision for pupils with Physical Disabilities and Complex Medical Needs

• Management of Safeguarding and Looked After Children

• Co-ordinating of all our behaviour support groups which include nurture groups and supporting emotional health

• Provision for More Able and Talented children

• Management of medication being administered in school

• Teaching

• delivering specific speech and language programmes

 

Mrs Grainger is our SENDCO and Safeguarding lead, and manages The DEN at Lindens Primary School. She can be contacted on 0121 580 7758.
