Walsall Girls' League
The only competition that the girls from Lindens have not won in the girls' league events, is the Girls' Cup. Having been runners up twice, this year the girls had another chance.
Hosting the match against Millfield Primary (the current league champions) the girls were in high spirits. Earlier in the season, Millfield had dominated the league game between the two teams, it was not so easy this time.
Sadly for our Lionesses, an early goal followed by an injury to a strong player had the heads dropping by the girls. Trailing 0-1 as the second half started, a second girl came quickly for the visitors. This was a rallying call, as our girls started pushing harder, getting several chances and forcing Millfield to work hard to keep them out.
The final score stayed at 0-2. A cup disappointment, but a huge leap in how the girls performed. Congratulations girls, we'll get it one day.
